Dental Implants

Dental Implants are a permanent solution to missing or failing teeth.

What to Do If you Lose a Dental Bridge or Crown…

Nobody likes problems or unexpected surprises of the dental variety. Unforeseen dental emergencies can happen anywhere at any time. If such a situation arises, an emergency dentist can do wonders for you if you can’t visit your family dentist.

If you lose a dental crown or dental bridge while you’re on vacation or away on business, you need to have it fixed as soon as possible. Delaying treatment can cause the tooth to suffer further injury which can prevent the tooth crown or bridge from fitting as it once did. It’s also possible to develop an infection in the uncovered area that could result in the loss of a tooth or extreme pain.

While losing a crown or bridge isn’t the end of the world, it’s definitely serious and can cause great pain. The newly exposed portion of the tooth will most likely be sensitive to air, heat, cold and pressure. You’ll probably find it’s painful to eat or drink.
